"Stark's assistant Natasha", eh? The Natasha who comes to mind from the comics was Black Widow. It'd be really cool to see her onscreen.
The description given of the Crimson Dynamo is confusing. It sounds more like they're describing Omega Red, a Wolverine villain. Odd.

Everyone keeps complaining that The Mandarin isn't slated to appear... Isn't the Mandarin a bit, well, too oddball for the style of the Iron Man movie franchise?

The Mandarin is slated to appear eventually. That's why the "Ten Rings" organization was introduced in the first film. Jon Favreau has stated there will be further foreshadowing in the second film, in hopes for using the character in Iron Man 3.
As far as oddball, it depends on which version of the Mandarin you're talking about. He's one of those characters who vary wildly, depending on the writer.

Crimson Dynamo also sounds like Omega Red, but that's OK, Omega Red is kinda cool.
Although Doctor Octopus in Spider Man 2 was the epitome of what a man with multiple limbs could do as far as I am concerned, I wonder how they will make Omega Red interesting since Iron Man can just shoot at him from a distance. I guess they could make his limbs shoot out like 200 yards.

The mystery deepens. It occurs to me that Omega Red is an X-character, thus any film rights would probably belong to Fox.
Unless this is a case where the reporter thought: "Hmmm. Russian Marvel Comics super-villain. Eh, I'll just Wiki one up at random. They're all the same."

Seems there have been multiple iterations of the Crimson Dynamo, though none that I saw had tentatcles - they all seemed to be electricity powered (bolts of lightning and whatnot).
Just a little creative license, I suppose? If he has a painted white face and long blonde hair, now.... that's a different story.

Well, if he doesn't suck the life out of people or make constant references to "Mother Russia" I think they'll get away with it.

Is Terrence Howard really getting the shaft? Or did he just decide he didn't want to do another IM movie? I'm sad about that - I like him.

Yeah, he got screwed. As much as I like Iron Man, I may not even watch Iron Man 2. I don't know. He was a big reason I liked it so much, along with Robert Downey Jr. of course. Just a perfect dynamic. I was really looking forward to his expanded role. Now I'm a bit bitter.

Marvel Studios claims that Howard began to ask for too much money, once it became apparent Iron Man was a mega-hit. Howard claims that he didn't ask for more money, and that he first heard the role had been re-cast by reading about it in Variety.
Robert Downey Jr. has said he does not know what happened.
Personally, I'm wondering if Howard's agent got a bit too...pushy.
Oooh. It's also rumored that misguided vigilante-turned long-time Avenger Hawkeye will be appearing in Iron Man 2. Hopefully as an archer and not a ninja.

Isn't Thor supposed to make a cameo in Iron Man 2 before his film that summer? Wonder what his cameo will be...
