It's black and white. It takes place on a cruise ship, going from some place in Europe to some place in the Americas. It's sort of half comedy and half drama. Some of the characters speak German. I believe it takes place during one of the world wars. It follows several different characters on the cruise ship, including a large Spanish family that occasionally sing and dance the flamenco and shout "Capitan!" At one point, there are lots of Cubans on board who can't pay for actual rooms and so they sleep out on the deck. I think its sort of a love story between an oldish woman and a middle age man, very handsome, with some kind of scar on his cheek.
Does anybody know what movie I'm talking about?? It was pretty epic as I remember. Please help me, I'd really like to watch it again.
