You receive a lucrative job offer that comes with fingerprint cards and instructions for filling out a DoD Security Clearance application.

Does this mean I have to stop eating Reese's Puffs and Lucky Charms for breakfast?

Heck no! This just means that instead of being "childish", your breakfast habits are now "eccentric"!

Congratulations for getting the job. [Smile]

Just don't eat Chee-tos on the day you get the fingerprint cards. [Smile]

Congrats, Boris!

Does this mean the DoD will be monitoring your threads now?

*looks around*

Congratulations on the job, Boris. Is it with a contractor or with the DoD itself?

From my experience, the lowest level of DoD clearance isn't really that bad. I've heard of corporate software companies that are more thorough. Higher level clearances, though, can be pretty intense (or so I hear).

It's with an IT Contractor that works with the Army. I think it's low level clearance, but I'm not sure. I just know I had to fill out like 50 pages of stuff. You never realize how disconnected you are with people from your past until you have to find people that knew you for the last 7 years (complete with addresses and phone numbers. Thank goodness for Facebook).

LOL... I have trouble remembering all the contact info for my 5 or so closest friends. I see them all time, their # is in my phone memory, why would I remember all that?

Congrats, by the way!
