Tonight I'm working late at the client who provides over 90% of my income on a problem that is critical to his business. Could be my fault, we're not sure yet. (If you see me spruiking my services here, you'll know what happened...)
Nevertheless, it so urgently needs fixing that I've pulled in my wife to help remotely. We're both reconciling and commenting a shared spreadsheet in Google Docs and have been at it for about four hours straight now.
A few minutes ago, another selection border appears next to a cell where I'm working.
Suddenly it says: "Will you be up for a lamb curry when you get home?"
I delete it and reply in the affirmative.
She deletes and tells me she misses me and I tell her the same, we exchange a few more sweet nothings.
In a new cell: "Well, better get back to it"
Her: "OK"
The evidence of our conversation is quietly deleted from amongst the cells and we start back in on the comparison...
Why do I feel like I'm in an XKCD comic?

Hi,
I got the updated spreadsheet and it's looking good - thanks for the quick turnaround.
There's just one thing, on the "Suppliers" sheet there's a row with the header "CU Hot Stuff" but there's nothing else in it. I can't find information on this supplier.
I'm worried about my assistant because she's been getting some personal deliveries at the office and I need to make sure she's not putting through purchase orders to buy stuff for herself. Can you look through the versions you have saved and see if any details crop up?
Probably nothing but I could really use some peace of mind either way...
