[Frown]

He had a long, productive life. But he will be missed.

Aw...! [Frown]

My earliest exposure to him was when he used to do "In The News" segments on Saturday mornings.

What a career. They really just don't make 'em like him any more.

Goodbye, Mr. Cronkite, and thanks.

From the article:

quote:
At one time, his audience was so large, and his image so credible, that a 1972 poll determined he was "the most trusted man in America" - surpassing even the president, vice president, members of Congress and all other journalists
Can't say his competition was very stiff. [Wink]

Though I never became a journalist myself, he definitely made me want to be one. We were lucky to get one man like him.

@cbsandrewcohen posted on Twitter: "Funny and somewhat sad to watch cable channels, who break all of the rules by which Cronkite lived, now praising him..."

No, but you could say he's providing 'stiff' competition for them now. [Wink]

And that's the way it is.

Plenty of Americans can say that they trusted Cronkite more than the politicians they themselves voted for. He will be remembered as honest and forth right, we can only hope to have the same said of us.

Walter Cronkite was literally "The Most Trusted Man in America". I think that says a lot about him and his integrity.
