i believe i have downloaded virus/spyware/adware
i found that in my processes, i have smss.exe and csrss.exe running. searching processlibrary.com, i found that these normal processes are commonly hijacked. can i verify that this may be my problem?
i also ran the latest version of lavasoft's ad-aware. it found 5 trouble objects in the registry. i asked ad-aware to remove them once for me, but they popped back up in the next search. if you guys want, i can post these.

Yes. We need lots of info. Have you looked at the forums for Hijack-This and seen the boilerplate info they usually request? That's about the extent of it.
