MXC involves less padding. And a lot (most?) of the participants seem to be drunk. So it can be more fun, if you like that sort of thing.

From what little I've seen of Wipeout, the humor is tons better in MXC which is the bigger draw for me.

I love it. We get the American version and the Autralian version as well, which is, if anything even funnier!

I love this show! It's cheesy, yes, but it's so damn entertaining.
The reason I like it compared to Ninja Warrior, which, although it is a good show, is that Wipeout always has a decisive ending, and a changed format every show.
How can you not love the two Johns and their (not so) witty banter?
Bad shows are addictive.
I, personally, harbor a great love for pro wrestling, and bad vH1 reality shows. ("Rock of Love", "I Love New York", "Megan Wants a Millionaire."
I also love Masterpiece Theater, just about any program on National Geographic or History, some on PBS, but I enjoy these as well.

The only show my six year old daughter likes more than Wipeout is How It's Made. She definately takes after her dad.

My two-year-old little sister loves it as well.
I can't tell whether she decided to mimick us with how much she laughs, or whether or not she's just influenced by our society to find potential harm funny :/

John Anderson used to be a sportscaster here in Tulsa. Even now on SportsCenter, he will sometimes say, "and former Tulsa Driller" when talking about big leaguers. It's kinda cool to hear that local bit for me.
The Tulsa Drillers are our AA baseball team.
