Did anyone else see the pilot last night? I thought it was vastly better than Virtuality. Maybe someone saw it, and that's why Virtuality never got made into a series.

The cast is great, to begin with. Ron Livingston, Christina Cox, Laura Harris. And it looks like they're setting up for a 6 year arc (a la B5's 5 year arc). It'll be interesting to see if they make it.

It's reminiscent of stuff I've read by Mike Flynn.

Is it really "Grey's Anatomy in space"?

I'm definitely intrigued.

I must have missed this when it was first posted, but I saw a blurb on Gateworld about it. Hulu has everything but the pilot, as does the ABC website, but I'm hesitant to jump in without seeing the pilot. How is it since the pilot? Good?

I haven't quite decided if I like it yet. I don't love it yet, that's for sure. I'm still interested in where they take it, yet I don't have a huge investment in the characters. Yet. I think it could get really good. Or it could never go beyond the, "Meh, I'm okay with it," stage.

It's okay.

I much preferred Virtuality, though. This show just seems like a cheap knockoff... and is utterly devoid of the science and intrigue that made Virtuality so good for me.

Ditto. I only watched the pilot and found it almost entirely uninteresting.

It reminds me a little of Ben Bova's book Mars.

Actually, me too.

A bit more of his Jupiter, though.

I have a special place in my heart for Mars, though. Having heard him read from the galleys at Lunacon. [Big Grin]

I blitzed through all the episodes on Hulu last weekend, in time to catch the new episode Sunday. I really like it so far. Will have to see if my interest stays level with needing to wait a week between episodes.
