Don't use IE. It's crap The only value is ubiquity, and the newer versions don't even have that. Use firefox. Lots of plugins, freakin awesome. Works with your website.

Google's Chrome is nice for speed and independent tab threading, but as it created by Google it seems you can't block ads [Mad] . Does anyone know any add-ons (or "gears" or whatever you call them for Chrome) that block ads displayed by the browser?

Firefox = no ads (or substantially decreased) with ad-block add-on
Firefox = open source

Chrome = ads up wazoo
Chrome = not open source (I believe there is an open source version, Chromium, but it may be only for Linux?)

For me Firefox wins.

That may be the funniest thing I've heard. I can almost imagine the conversation:

Google guy A: All those guys with Firefox are blocking our ads. We're losing a lot of money.
Guy B: Hey why don't we make an amazing browser - with no ad blocking capabilities?

Score!

I have both IE and Firefox installed on my computer. But I only ever use IE. I hate tabs.

The most annoying thing about the most recent version of IE is that new tabs steal the cursor and put it in the address bar just when I'm trying to enter a Google search ARRRRGHHHHH

I should probably bite the bullet and switch to Firefox for good. I just get annoyed at the extra moment or two it takes to start, the frequency of updates, and the occasional web page that just doesn't play nice (although since IE8, Explorer has the same problem at times.)
