This is a must-have game for the Nintendo DS. The premise? Write down a word, and see it appear in the game! Write anything you can think of on the DS touchscreen, and use these objects to solve puzzles in creative ways!
I got it today, and I find it simply amazing. The sheer depth of the game is incredible. You don't think typing "robot zombie" will get you anything? Guess again. Do you doubt that you can create a time machine? You're wrong. From mythical beats to weapons to vehicles to tools, it's all in there.
With the ability to summon any object you can think of, the possibilities are endless. Items such as "glue" can be used to attach two objects together. With this, you could glue a cannon to a galleon, or tether a fishing rod to a kangaroo, and dangle lettuce from the fishing rod... making the kangaroo run forward as it tries to eat the lettuce! The interactions make this completely worthwhile; lawyers chase after ambulances, dogs crowd toward balls, and atheists are afraid of God (though an armed atheist will attack, and can even kill, God).
There are limits to the words you can write: 1. No vulgar/drug-related words 2. No adjectives (there are exceptions, such as "Giant Enemy Crab") 3. Concrete objects only (no events, though "tsunami" is an exception) 4. No names (this actually has several exceptions. You can actually summon "Elvis" and "Abraham Lincoln")
The puzzles range from simple to incredibly hard. This game encourages creative thinking, to the point that it even provides a level editor.
Here's an example of an easier level. A Starite (the objects you collect in the game to complete levels) is stuck in a tree; you have to get it down somehow. You could write "ladder" and climb to the Starite, you could write "ax" and chop down the tree, you can write "campfire" and burn down the tree, you can write "beaver" and have it chew down the tree, you can write "anvil" and "glue" and have the weight pull it out of the tree, you can write "jetpack" and fly up to the tree, you can write "boomerang" and knock it out of the tree... there's a lot of replay value just from coming up with new solutions!
But then there are really hard levels. There's one where you have to defeat an army of robot zombies. Simple weapons won't kill them, though my double-sided laser sword (I glued to laser swords together) seemed to take care of them. A famous solution to this level is to write "time machine," which takes you to the age of the dinosaurs. You can then ride a dinosaur, take it back to the time machine, and use the dinosaur to trample the robot zombies. Seriously! I'm not kidding! This game can do anything.
Though this game is only single-player, it is the most fun to play in groups, and let people shout out new items to be tried. If you have a DS, get this game. And then post your most memorable experiences on the game here!

Hehe I saw a youtube vid of scribblenauts that indeed does the LHC. It's the one that's indignant with "gamer" and "virgin" showing the same character

Hehe. I created a contraption by gluing a bunch of beams, a pulley, and a rope together, and dangled a piano on the rope, counterbalancing it with an anchor on the other end, so that the piano dangled off a cliff. Then I severed the rope with a scissors, dropping the piano on a cake.

Hmm. This game can be tough! The action puzzles on the first level were fine, but the explosion ones were harder for me. Took me many retries to solve some of them O.o
I guess I need to work on being creative. Totally stuck behind a tornado right now (no hints!).

A cow would probably not help you, but it would be insanely funny. Maybe if you enter "Helen Hunt" she can take out the tornado.

A teleporter took me to another area with a race car, but the race car couldn't get through the tornado. A blizzard didn't do anything. Cthulu couldn't defeat it. A mage and a shaman just stood there staring at it.

I rode a magic broomstick to get past the tornado.
Then again, it might have been a glitch that got me through...
I just did the level where you need to collect three flowers, one guarded by a bee, one in a pool with a pirana, and one on a high ledge. My favorite solution thus far is gluing a balloon to the bee and watching it float up and away, generating a raincloud and hanging a vine from it to swing to the ledge, and using a fishing pole to retrieve the flower in the water.

Giving a "droid" a "laser sword" didn't allow me to slay "dragons" either. I mean, yeah, the robot attacked the dragon, but I'm afraid my little C-3PO lost.

For that one, C3PO, I used a can of 'fly spray' against the bee, a hot air balloon to grab the far flower, and a fishing pole to get the flower.
My boyfriend used a magic carpet for the tornado level, though I think that he also sorta bugged the level to get across. I'll try some new things to figure out what actually defeats a tornado. We tried a cannon cause apparently there's an old myth about dispersing tornados with cannon shot.

I shot the bee with a gun, fishing pole for the pond, and used my trusty jetpack for the one on the cliff.

God is not as all-powerful in this game as He is in religious doctrine. Otherwise, you could just use Him to beat every level, which would make the game much less interesting, and certainly wouldn't encourage creativity.
I'm beginning to think the tornado is indestructible - the trick is to get through it, not destroy it. Which is why the "magic broomstick" and "magic carpet" items seem to work. My brother beat the level using "wings."

He wouldn't have to be all-powerful; tornadoes, as "Acts of God," fall specifically under His purview.

I glued the fish to a helicopter and dropped it somewhere safe on land, then used the helicopter to grap the flower from the ledge and reused the rope to deal with the bee.

Well, if you *do* want to beat every level, you can try...

Invisibility cloaks do make it so hostile creatures don't attack you, but the objective of the level is not usually to get past enemies. They are certainly useful items, though.

Has anyone had luck attaching things to the background walls? We were on world 2 with the level in which 2 ninjas and a rogue protect various flip switches. A jet pack doesn't reach the top floor. I wanted to attach a window sill or a ledge on the way up but couldn't manage it.
Alas, trying to roll a bowling ball down a ramp to flip the switch did not work.

I just got the game, and I'm in level 1-1. Note to self: Don't accidentally shoot the police officer when you mean to give him the gun.

Yeah definitely the controls take a lot of patience and restarting the level. We fell down a lot of cliffs by mistake when trying to use an item.
My most recent pet peeve is the inability to turn off the background music.
