The 90's ended almost 10 years ago! This decade is over!
This decade is book-ended by graduation of HS in 2000. 4 interesting years of college flew by. Homeowner since 2007. Married my college sweetheart in 08, have had the same job for 6 years, and became an uncle last new year's eve.
I can truly say that I am thankful for where I am now, but it hasn't always been easy.

Personally, I can't wait to see this decade go. I've been in college since I graduated high school in 2002, and all my friends are either in Africa, or grad school.
The teens are looking good.
Where do you guys fall on the debate? Does the decade end with 2009 or 2010? I say it's over. 2010 is the start of the next decade.

I know technically it's 2010, but I agree. Practically, this sucker is over in 13 days.
I'm fairly ambivilant on this decade. It's been the decade of figuring stuff out. Tried college and two jobs I didn't like. Moved in with my high school sweetheart and married him. Figuring out that living on our own stuff was intense. I still can't get over how there's constantly stuff that needs to be done.
The only thing I don't feel I have completely down yet is my writing schedule. I was great about it in the first half of the year. I got up to averaging over 300 words a day. Then I got pretty close to a bout of depression and haven't written since June. Now I feel ready to get back to it, but the thought of having to re-read 26k worth of novel to figure out what I was doing is unreasonably freaking me out for some reason.
Still, feeling like I've only got one area to figure out isn't a bad way to start the new decade. For about five years when I figure the pressure to have kids will really be on.
At least there's always something new to learn.

I'll go with a zero-based calendar system. But maybe that's because I'm a computer-oriented guy. It's easy for me to mark the end of a decade here, since it's been ten years since I graduated from high school.

I'm going from "the day we all celebrated the turn of the millenium" rather than "the actual turn of the millenium that everyone mostly ignored".
It's ten years since then, therefore the decade is over.
I graduated from Middle School, High School and University. That's about it, really.

Time flies, faster and faster. My 20 year high school reunion is next year and I don't feel much different. I look at my 10 year old and still feel like a kid raising a kid.

Heh, this last decade was quite the roller coaster. It saw me graduate high school planning to be an engineer, graduate college planning to be a teacher, founding and performing in a circus troupe, and finally landing on actor/street performer. Yeah, it's been a fun 10 years.
