So two days ago I went to a career fair at my school and met a company which I found very interesting.
What they do is analyze medications from a business perspective. I've been doing a fair bit of writing/analysis of medications, and I had a good conversation with one of the recruiters.
He asked for my resume and gave me his card.
The day after, yesterday, I sent him a follow up email with a copy of my resume asking for an interview. OK, so far so good.
The problem is that sometimes my email account is blocked. I was doing promotion for a blogging thing a few months back on it, and I guess it got flagged as spam.
So I'm kind of nervous that it didn't get through.
I'm thinking I should call just to confirm & express my strong interest in the position. Just not sure what I should say or if I call today or wait until Monday. I am very excited about this position, but don't want to come off as too needy/excited.
I'm not the best at things like this, so would really appreciate your help.

Get a new email address, dedicated only to job hunting. I recomend the name you want to go by professionally as the username.
Send a second email to this guy, repeating what you said before, and then mention you have changed email addresses and this is the best way to reach you.
Use the JobHunting email exclusively for that purpose.

Neither do I. It may be a good idea considering your concerns.
But I really like kat's suggestion about a job hunting email, used just for that purpose. I have one, and it's worked well.

I think calling after a respectable interval is generally a good idea anyway, to stay on their radar.

If you get an email account specifically for job-hunting, you can set it to forward to your regular email automatically. That way you don't have to check the second email address. It comes right to your inbox. I recommend a gmail account for this. Gmail is non-buggy, and easy to use.

I don't forward it precisely because job hunting stresses me out. I need to be able to check my regular email without that kind of pressure, and then I can psych myself up for checking the job hunting account.
Plus, I am very unlikely to send accidental emails to anyone because I don't use that account for anything fun or casual.

The best thing about using gmail for a jobhunting account is that it puts all suspected spam into a separate folder. That way, you can check the spam folder to see if anything from a prospective employer made it there by accident.

Thanks for the advice. It makes a lot of sense. That said, since I haven't been able to read it until now (hatrack was down), I think I'll just go with the call.
