Besides hanging out at the Dublin embassy, Obama's also using his trip to visit his ancestral village of Moneygall. I'm sure there's some sort of a pun to be made off of the name "Moneygall" but I haven't the energy right now.

Doesn't matter how good or bad of a driver you are; when your car is that long and weighs as much as a small airplane, you're going to have issues on bumps like that.
I'm sure it's not the first time it happens.

In this day and age, can't we get our President a car with an extending suspension to let it climb over ramps, speed bumps, small boulders, and if necessary a human bridge of Secret Service agents?

The issue would be the inclusion in the car of some of the following possible items: lead plated nuclear blast shielding, gattling gun, depleted uranium rounds, anti-aircraft missiles, and god knows what else. The car is very, very heavy.

Admittedly, the car was designed to go THROUGH most obstacles, not over them.
Nice to know that sixty years of design and development to make a $300,000+ car is foiled by terrain at the entrance to an embassy, where limos come and go all the time.
And if you think I'm kidding about the weight of this thing... The Wikipedia article is a fun read:
quote:Most details of the car are classified for security reasons; however, it is known that it is fitted with military grade armor at least five inches thick, and the wheels are fitted with run flat tires that makes the vehicle drivable for a certain period of time. The doors weigh as much as a Boeing 757 airplane cabin door.

Obama's Kenyan?! I always thought he was Irish!
Oh, wait, he's both. Or neither. My mistake.
