Feel free to continue this line with what ever comes to mind.
I know I been writing to much when in a dream I'm an extra on a film set and decide I should write a behind the scene article about the film, but can't get my pen to work because its a miniature slug like alien. Darn those are hard to write with.

When my inner voice starts narrating my daily life. (On the plus side, it has an interesting way of describing strangers. I'm trying to learn how to describe characters as smoothly.)

aspirit, are you saying that that's not normal? It happens to me when my writing is flowing best.
I only believe I am writing too much when I lean back from the computer screen and realize that I am starving or that I am in desperate need of sleep. Damn those corporeal needs.

genevive, that kind of narration doesn't mean that my stories are developing well. It just means that my mind is stuck in writing mode. It's troublesome when several attorneys need me to focus on the non-fictional work they're handing me or when I'm driving somewhere new for an appointment.
Sometimes I can't tell if real life is interfering with my writing life or if it's the other way around.

My mind was narrating my ride home tonight (on the motorcycle), while I was splitting lanes down Interstate 10. One day I'm going to write a motorcycle ride narration as a story.
