very short story, which starts like this...
They were the perfect students, Judith thought, as she gazed at the rows of mute unblinking faces. Perfect, but somehow unnerving. Each year they came then, after a few months, left to go to jobs or University, or so she supposed. She repositioned the white board and in thick, dark pen wrote another line of grammar. *** Any bites?
