My first novel has been given a provisional release date of Halloween 2008. I haven't been given an ISBN or anything yet. I'll keep you all updated ;-)

Regards

Congrats! That's fantastic.
(now I feel less bad for never editing what you sent me... though I do apologize for never getting back to you.)

In any case, I'll be looking for it on the shelves of my local bookstore come the release date.

Thanks for your congrats, everyone.

It was a small press that took it up. It was sort of a double whammy, because after they accepted my book I also applied for a job there and got it (although, I don't start there for a while yet). They're called Dog Horn Publishing, and they're a local outfit here in Leeds, England.

They kind of accepted it a while back, but I've been really worried about mentioning it in case I jinxed it!

Basically, I sent them a synopsis after reading about them in the local paper, because their publisher was being entered into the Yorkshire Young Achiever's Award. We had a bit of a chat and she became obsessed with reading my book. When she did . . . she just said yes.

They're very indie and only publish limited editions, but that's perfectly fine by me. I've always known it was a very difficult story to get published, just because of the style and content (as some of you may have pointed out ;-)). I've recently polished it off, and they've confirmed Halloween 2008 as the publishing date.

Regards
