Thanks for your congrats, everyone.It was a small press that took it up. It was sort of a double whammy, because after they accepted my book I also applied for a job there and got it (although, I don't start there for a while yet). They're called Dog Horn Publishing, and they're a local outfit here in Leeds, England.
They kind of accepted it a while back, but I've been really worried about mentioning it in case I jinxed it!
Basically, I sent them a synopsis after reading about them in the local paper, because their publisher was being entered into the Yorkshire Young Achiever's Award. We had a bit of a chat and she became obsessed with reading my book. When she did . . . she just said yes.
They're very indie and only publish limited editions, but that's perfectly fine by me. I've always known it was a very difficult story to get published, just because of the style and content (as some of you may have pointed out ;-)). I've recently polished it off, and they've confirmed Halloween 2008 as the publishing date.
