Hi all! I just finished a "modern" fantasy short story, approx 5,100 words. I don't normally read modern fantasies, and have never tried to write one. I feel great about the piece and really like it... So I'm hoping to get some unbiased opinions about it before I dare to package it up to face an editor. Pls LMK if you're interested in providing feedback on the piece, and I promise to return the favor.

I'd love to take a look at it. Modern fantasies are my "thang." Feel free to send to hildy9595@aol.com and let me know if you want overall story critique or line-by-line grammar/spelling/nitpicking (or both). Posts: 338 | Registered: Aug 2002

Ditto here. In fact I have a modern fantasy ss that you can critique for me after I do a first edit on it. Let me know how much detail in critique you want. mk86@radc.com

I've got a ton of spare time, why not. Just a bit of a warning, though- some writing friends of mine have often said that what I call "editing" is harsh. Whatever I write in response doesn't mean it's horrible, it's just me playing super inspector. E-mail's- cheesemonkey79@yahoo.com

If you don't mind a really long lag time on my response, then sure (if you do mind, then I'd still like to see it, but will understand your declining to send it ).

Hi, Siligurl, I may have inadvertently deleted your mss if you sent it -- if I don't recognize an address I get rid of it -- but if you decided not to send it to all the critiquing offers that's all right. Just wanted to let you know I wasn't ignoring you.

Kolona, it's not a problem... I've a friend who does the same thing. I'll resend it to you... I don't turn away the offer of help!

Sorry, was away in FL for 11 days. However, I just went through all my email and I don't see your story. Did you send it to me? If you still want some feedback, please resend when you get a chance. Now that I'm home, I promise to be speedy (but thorough).
