I'm starting to feel a little guilty posting these in here so often; on the other hand when someone I know sells something it always motivates me to go out and write something even better... :P
I got an e-mail from the editor at Futures Mystery Anthology (I write mysteries now and then in addition to the SF) and they want another one of my stories. It's called "Good With Directions" and it's about scams and couterfeiting and kidnapping. The usual. They did ask for some rewrites, but I think their suggestions are good ones that will improve the story, so I have no objections to tinkering with the story. This will make my fourth story published with them in the last 2 years.
On a separate note, it's not publication, but I did have a cool 'first' this week. I got an e-mail from the editor of a Denver-based lit magazine saying that he had seen and liked one of my stories in another magazine, and he was inviting me to submit something to them, too. It's no guarantee of anything being accepted, but it's the first time an editor has ever sought me out, so naturally I'm a bit jazzed.

Not to put words in Kathleen's mouth, but I think she was referring to the title of this post: "Three strikes and I'm out." Read her note again with that in mind, I think you'll find it makes sense.

Thank you, Autumnmuse, that's exactly what I meant.
I don't consider such attempts at clarifying my posts to be inappropriate at all. I can be a little too clever for my own (or anyone else's) good sometimes.
If a guess is wrong, I won't even get upset (unless, of course, you are accusing me of being hurtful when I really try not to be).
