The Torrington Merchants Association (Torrington, Wyoming) has officially become my first paying client! I pitched a newsletter concept to them last night and I was thrilled to find a message on my machine this afternoon saying they want to go with it!

*jumps up and down for joy*

It's a novel concept, somewhat different than other "advertising" newsletters that I've seen, so I'm quite pleased that it received such a good reception with the first group to whom it was presented. I hope to interest more groups in my idea in the near future.

Hey, it's not nearly enough to pay the mortgage, but it's a start! Best of all, it's a job that is allowing me to combine three of the things I like best: writing, newsletter design/desktop publishing and creativity.
