I WAS WONDERING HOW I WOULD GO ABOUT JOINING ONE OF THE WRITING WORKSHOPS. WHILE I'LL MORE THEN LIKELY POSTS OTHER MESAGES, THE WORKSHOPS WAS THE MAIN REASON I JOINED THE BB. I WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME OPINIONS ON A STORY I JUST STARTED AND I NEVER HESITATE TO GIVE MY OWN OPINION. ALSO IS THERE A WAY TO POST A STORY OR PART OF A STORY WITHOUT RETYPING THE WHOLE THING?
THANKS

John, be absolutely sure that you are aware of this BBS's policy on the length of story segments you can post here.

I may be creating a monster, but do you know how to copy and paste?

Highlight a paragraph with your mouse, then press <control><c>. Click on the whote text area on the webpage and press <control><v>.

You are now empowered to quote yourself. Please use your powers for good, not evil.

I belive that Kathleen has pointed out many times----this is not the place to cut and patse ANYTHING for opinion other than the one or two lines she has proposed in the new thread asking for private readership of short works. Otherwise, the critique groups are there for that purpose.

Just a note on cut and paste--it depends on the program you use and on the ISP you use, netscape, AOL, and MSN each have there own way of doing it. The one that works for all three is to SELECT ALL either by hitting CTRL A or by right clicking and selecting SELECT ALL. The right click over the darkened text and select COPY OR CUT. Then right click in the web window where you want the text and choose PASTE.

What doc listed may work as well though I have never used it.

Shawn

Thank you for the replies (although I still don't know how to join a workshop) Sorry, about the caps lock I'm sneaking internet time at work and it has to be on for the other program I use to do my job. I never bothered to turn it off. maybe i'll post a line or two of a story and someone will want to read what I have so far.
