I was just wondering if anyone here was planning to go to Boskone in February? I would love to meet some fellow Hatrackers in the "real" world!

Boskone is a convention held each year in Boston that focuses on SF/F literature and some art, rather than television shows and movies. It's a terrific networking opportunity re: meeting favorite authors and getting advice on being published. Sorry...I shouldn't have assumed folks would just know what it was by the name!

{sigh} one of the drawbacks of being in the middle of the country is that you are equally far away from everything.

Add to Cosmi's problem three kids and no money, and you've got mine.

Ugh.

P.S. Cosmi, whereabouts do you live?

I would love to go to Boston for anything I think it is one of the greatest cities in the US. I am clear out on the west coast. I hope to attend The Journeys Conference in Tahoe this April. It is not SF/F specific, but for all writers.

I live decently nearby, but I don't think I'll be able to explain the absence to my professors, having skipped out on enough days already.

Well, I'm back and had a great, productive time. Just wanted to share one of my great book finds at the conference...a first edition, signed copy of Hatrack River! Appropriate, no?
