I had talked to a publisher/editor over the weekend, and got his business card to submit to. However, tonight when I was typing up some of my notes, I saw that the editor in question had stated that they don't take unsolicited work.

Now, I'm going with the idea that since I had talked to him personally, and received his card that if I state that he and I had discussed my submission, or that I would be submitting, that I will be fine. - This might not work of course as he and I didn't discuss anything particular, other than my stating that I know this isn't the place for him to read anything since it was rather loud and people were all over the place.
