Random question from a quasi-lurker: Did you attend the priesthood session of conference at the big stake center just west of the BYU football stadium? 'Cause I saw a guy that looked like the pictures of you on your web site (unless you've got an evil doppelganger running around Provo). Anyway, it was a strange experience to think, "Hey, I know that guy! Oh, wait—I really don't."

Uh, was he seated on the stand, facing the other side of the back to back chapel arrangement and clearly unable to see anything at that range? In any case, I doubt it would have been my evil doppelganger.

Yeah, that must've been you. I was actually thinking that it must've been a horrible place to sit, being right beneath one screen but unable to see it, and being so far from the other screen that you can't really see anything on that one, either.
And is there really such a thing as a good doppelganger?

I can't imagine ALL doppelgangers are evil. The good ones probably just don't get as much press because people take credit for themselves for all the stuff their good doppelgangers do. Everybody is always willing to blow the whistle when their doppelgangers do something bad, though. Doppelgangers are probably complex people, with good qualities and bad qualities, just like anyone else. For serious.

Hmm. I quick Google search shows that evil doppelgangers outnumber good doppelgangers 818 to 58. So they exist, but they're obviously a minority struggling for recognition in the midst of a lot of bad press.

Well, you know, Google's not perfect. There are millions of websites not in their database. And, maybe, it's just that good doppelgangers aren't as web-savvy as their evil counterparts.

But think on this, to your evil doppleganger you are the good doppleganger. Then there is your Goppledanger which is actually the you in the mirror. But what if your evil Doppleganger has it's own evil Doppleganger, would that person be all the more evil or be a perfect copy of you?

Well...if you couldn't tell, yes I am LDS, too. I WISH I lived in Utah or Idaho (or anywhere out west...notably Arizona). I'm stuck in MN where 28 degree mornings in April with snow are not outrageous and mountains are but a dream.
We also have these annoying little things called Mosquitos. Which reminds me of a quote I read once:

I grew up out in the country of northern Utah before I joined the Navy, and NOWHERE is there more mosquitos. And don't even ask about the Mormon Crickets and Gypsy Moths.
