So I've been using mainly duotrope.com to find markets. Then I searched for a market that I enjoyed reading, and duotrope didn't list it. Now that I've learned that duotrope is not infallible, are there other websites similar to duotrope? What do you use?

Duotrope has certain criteria. For instance, it only lists pubs that post their submission guidelines on the web. If your market does then maybe you could shoot Duotrope an email letting them know about it.

Ralan's (www.ralan.com) is the other main one that I know of. I find Duotrope more useful because of its search capabilities.

If you have a livejournal blog, there's a community called specficmarkets which people post to with news of new markets.

In general, network; if you hang around on three or four sites (like Hatrack) where authors communicate, you'll usually be able to keep well up to date.
