Anybody know of a market for a 20,000 word novella? IGMS said(graciously)that it was too long. (I didn't submit it to IGMS. I just asked about its length. I'll try to cut it down some, but as yet can't see how. Maybe a few thousand words, but after that I'll have to completely rethink my story. Any ideas??

Have you tried duotrope.com? Put in the length and pay scale and it will spit out a list. Analog and Fantasy and Science Fiction come up with 20,000 words and pro payment specified. Five other options shown as well and maybe they are options for your story as well depending on its content.

Ralan.com has a section on anthologies, which has one listing that exclusively deals with that length (I forget the name of the listing).

I wish. All my stuff seems to be coming out long these days. I tried to keep my last thing short but it's turning out slow and miserable.
