It's so crazy, but since I started my new novel (third one), which I haven't come up with a complete title for yet, on August 5th, I have gotten over 81,000 words done, WITHOUT suffering Writers Block, and I plan to keep that up! That's never happened before. I set a record for myself, which is still growing (Maybe I'll complete this entire manuscript without falling into the evil clutches of Mr. Writers Block lol). Also, I'm having fun with this new project, and I love my plot and characters to death! It's probably going to be two books, maybe even three, because it's fairly long at this time, and it might take me another month to complete the first draft of Part I and Part II.

Anyway, I feel accomplished to know I haven't had to struggle with Writers Block for awhile, especially with this new project. I'm on a role, I'll say. Anyone else feel accomplished about anything lately? It's always nice to know good news (or even bad news, sometimes) from other writers.

I feel envious, if that counts :-)

Nice job. Keep the momentum going. It's great when you can enjoy the process.

I say good going also. And keep it up as long as possible.

I must say though that I usually don't have a problem with writer's block. If I do with a short story I find that it's because I've gone a different direction from when I envisioned the story.

Hmm, trying to remember if I have had WB with my novels. I've written a long one of 320,000 words, one shorter at around 76,000 and working on four. Actually, two are stalled for some reason. It's not really Writer's block I know where to go with one of them, I just feel like working on newer ones. That might be because I've learned a bunch about writing since I started both and if I continued both it would be a mixed bag of old writing and new writing and even newer writing. The two I'm doing now would be just newer writing and I hope to finish both by Dec. And I don't think I have had that problem with any of my novels or at least not for very long. Sometimes I have had problems deciding on what to do next but once I decide on that scene away I go. Not sure if that is the same as writer's block where nothing comes.

Anyway, when you do get WB have you tried any of the methods of getting past it?
