This is for everyone who's had trouble with the Writers of the Future forum over the last year. After a bit of discussion, Joni Labaqui has officially put me in charge of the WOTF forum. When you want someone to ride herd on the nuthouse, you hire the chief nut, right? Anyway, I'm backtracking now and trying to find out who from Hatrack has had account issues at the WOTF forum. I ought to be able to assist.

So, I need you to do two things.

#1 reply to this thread to alert me you are having issues.

#2 send the same thing to my e-mail at brad(dot)r(dot)torgersen(at)comcast(dot)net

I will work the issue from there until we get the problem(s) ironed out.

Huge apologies on behalf of Joni and the Contest for the problems over at the forum as of late. Essentially, the place was on autopilot for about 10 months. But no more.

Thanks, Hatrackers!

Oh, and in case anyone hasn't seen that the forum has a new URL, here it is:

http://forum.writersofthefuture.com/

Drop on over when you get a chance?

Lots of new stuff happening down in the Information Alley portion.

K.D. Wentworth also wants everyone to know they can ask questions in her section -- I suspect lots of people think they can't do that, or are afraid? K.D. says nonsense, ask away.

Okay, I'll get it started.

I had issues, I requested membership to the forum, the response was that an admin had to approve it. I never got approval, followed up through some email address I found there, and still no response.

I am guessing that since it is not on autopilot anymore, I should try again?

I'll email you this as well.

Yes, please e-mail me and let me know the user name you picked over at WOTF, if that user name is NOT the same as the one you use here.

Since they changed it we may not be having problems anymore. I know one of the tech people with the old forum checked on my problem but I guess couldn't figure out why my User name never got into the system.

Anyway Let me try again and we shall see. I used the same name as here. Well, I should say I used this name on the first attempt. They said to try again so I made up another User name and password. That didn't take either.

Are you using LD3 at the forum? Would you rather use the same ID that you use here?

Nope, my second attempt was something like LEDwriter. That's the initials from my full pen name. I wanted to use LDWriter2 but as I said that didn't take.

Try registering again, using the user name you want to use. It should work now. Let me know if it does not?
