Browsing Cracked this morning, I came across an article many of you might enjoy. Fair warning, though, Cracked is not... shall we say... gentle in their language. There is nothing "adult" on the site, but the jokes and writing would earn R ratings if spoken in movies.
quote: Editing is just like writing, except hateful, and in reverse. Instead of birthing words and ideas out of nothing, you're murdering them in cold blood, culling them like sickly sheep weakening the flock.

LOL hilarious! I especially liked #3, the part about LeVar Burton. Way too funny! (That was my favorite show when I was little... I think I had a bit of a five year old crush. My mom teased me relentlessly. In fact, now we have the second generation watching it and I have to put up with my mom telling her grandkids, "That's Aunty M's boyfriend..." sigh...).
OK, I think I milked this for all it's procrastinating potential... thanks micmcd!

It's strange what that article says about research because it's the exact opposite of what Dean Wesley Smith says in his latest post.

After a while, it does get easier though. But only because you will rediscover, with every single sentence, what an incredibly talentless asshole you really are.
