This was mentioned in the WotF Group, but I thought it should be bumped up into the Open Discussions forum. KD Wentworth has died, may she rest in peace. There is a link below to an obituary and comments.
I'm sure a bunch of you submit to Writers of the Future and don't venture to the early group's forum. For those of you who don't, KD Wentworth was the first reader for all of the entries. Her preferences were always a topic of conversation for those of us who wanted to do well in the contest. I've received a few Honorable Mentions, so I know she's actually read some of my stories and the stories of a lot of other hatrackers. I am sad that she's no longer with us.
In my brief flurry of activity in writing for the past three years, KD Wentworth was an institution for those of us who participated in the contest. I am sure she'll be missed by many.
