I came across an interesting discussion about modern publishing in an interview with John Hodgman (I'm a PC), and I thought you all might enjoy it: http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/03/john-hodgman-on-the-death-of-publishing-and-being-a-mac-trapped/

Hodgman was a literary agent before he became famous, and has some interesting insight into the epublishing revolution.
