It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

As NaNoWriMo continued, so did I, adding 26,650 words for the week to Still They Watch. I'm now at a total of 98,824 words on this novel. The frightening part is that, as I draw this one to a close (only 1.5 chapters and an epilogue to go), I'm already building the next project in my head and starting to outline book 1 of that quartet in my head. It never ends.

I wrote some blog posts and made some notes for various story ideas as well. I also critiqued a couple of things for a couple of friends.

That's it for me. How about everyone else? Did you write?

-Julie

I managed five hundred words yesterday...a busy [Thanksgiving] week, and an attack of dizziness on Wednesday, pretty much killed things for me. Tomorrow, five hundred more words, I hope.

I am rewriting my DEMON'S LURE story, adding scenes between what I have to actually tell the story rather than just the action. I had only a couple editing sessions and added 336 words and got onto the next page.
I have never had a real plan on this story. It started out with a single action scene, and slowly developed from there. I wrote the main action scenes and now have to put them into the context of some story that has a mystery of some sort to solve that will lead to another story.

No story ideas at all. That skill appears to be lost.

Not lost, rstegman. It'll come back. Give yourself time. I'm sure you'll find that groove again. Glad to see writing is going though.

Wrote a review and another 1,000 words on my novel. I'm right at the moment where the decisions of the characters set in motion everything for the inciting incident that is the beginning of the final conflict and resolution. And I'm trying to reveal what must be revealed in the most spectacular fashion I can think of. Except, I can't think of anything. Damn! Also critiqued a 143K word novel.

Phil.

Not a thing during a Thanksgiving vacation. It's the first week I haven't written anything in some time.

Critiques for my father's and MattLeo's novels are in process.

Waiting for any further crits for my proposed 2013 WOTF Q1 entry from the critique group before doing a final revision and submitting it.

Meanwhile, I wrote 2000 words of a new short suspense story "The Hunt" then recogized in my alpha wave sleep state this morning at 5am that I needed to up the emotional ante for my protagonist and will be straying, yet again, into gender issues with which I am only familiar as an observer. Freud would have a field day with me. [Smile]

Respectfully,
Dr. Bob

Yep indeed, I did write. A great week for that.

Only one thing of fiction though. My Neat, New NaNo Novel that is Now done.

But I also posted some posts on three forums.

And a few posts Here

Maybe five or seven.

Oh, today I worked on two other novels slightly and started an epilogue for that Neat, New Nano Novel I wasn't able to write in time.
