It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

The week was almost a washout for me, as I went to and worked as staff at ConFusion in Michigan (had a blast there). There were a couple story ideas and notes made for a major rewrite of my Necromantic trilogy. I also started a short story, but I don't know that I'll finish it.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

I had a breakout this week from my doldrums this week. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, I went on a tear and wrote five hundred words on my novel...then, today, I had a bout with insomnia, got up early, and wrote out twenty-five hundred words of a short story.

(Not that the short story is publishable---it's essentially a plagiarized novelization of a brief manga comic that was largely responsible for my sleep problem in the first place. A lurid thing. I changed the ending, though, and it's good practice.)

I opened a work in progress, spell checked it and that was it. Nothing else done.

I doubt I will get too much writing done this week. too much stuff going on to eat up my time.

It is hard when there are four stories to work on. I always want to work on the one I don't have open....

I finished up the Pitch Wars revisions to MAGE STORM (and several iterations of the pitch). Now I'm making another pass through THE SHAMAN'S CURSE to have it ready for beta readers next month. Then it's on to the revisions/rewrite of MAGIC AND POWER.

Also, a couple of crits and two blog posts.

It helps to keep busy.

A bit late here but yes I did.

Worked mostly on two stories for what I am calling two either themed story sets or broken up novels.

I am temporarily stuck on one of the two tales. It is suppose to be a sort of lighthearted romantic adventure with my MC taking his girl for a carriage ride in Central Park when they are besot upon by tingle bell type of fairies out for fun. He needs to chase them away without letting on that he is a Mage. Now I figure this would also be a good time for him to do something that would make this tribe of fairies owe him one. Not sure what. Rescue them from fae wolves, snow sharks, another Mage trying to collect them for no good reason, a group of heretofore unknown fairy creatures that fly and like to feed on these fairies or ?

Also wrote a personal post for my blog and various E-mails and notes on G+, here and the WotF forum.

Finished the short story / slice of plagiarism I worked on last week...simultaneously with being laid low by a cold laid on top of continuing stomach problems. Had to leave work Thursday, stayed home Friday and Saturday, went back to work on Friday. I had a clear idea of how I wanted to end the thing so I did, did some revision on it...so now once my lungs clear up it's back to the novel...
