This is still in the very beginning stages. I'm not even sure if this will be the first chapter but as of now it is. It's fantasy set in modern day and currently I only have one chapter written. I would love it if anyone wanted to look at the whole chapter. Thanks!
Emily sat on a cement bench partially shaded by a Mesquite tree. The tiny leaves offered little respite from the blasting Tucson sun above. Behind her rose the white stuccoed Northwest Medical Center hospital. Agnes had said to meet her here, but hadn’t offered any explanation. She had a suspicion though that Agnes was about to give her a mission. Closing her eyes she breathed in deep. This would be her first mission. She wiped the sweat building on her brow, did it have to be Tucson? She couldn’t have picked a bleaker city. Prickly cacti and yellow shrubs dominated the landscaping. A black sedan drove into the parking lot and Emily felt the presence of several Guardians inside it. Agnes was here.
