As for me.

Last Week's Goals:

THE BARD'S GIFT: Look for some more reviewers.
Nothing new. Hard to identify for sure, but I might have gotten one review from the Story Cartel trial. [Frown]

MAGE STORM: No queries for now.
I'm going to have to consider my path forward with this one. Waiting out a request and a couple of newer queries. [Frown]

MAGIC AND POWER: Continue working through Sheena's excellent crit.

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE: Let it sit for a little while before making another, more complete, pass.
Just about to start on that last pass through. [Smile]

DREAMER'S ROSE: Pause, for now.
Easy one. [Smile]

THE IGNORED PROPHECY: Pause for now.
Another easy one. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. Even an extra one. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

THE BARD'S GIFT:
Figure out what to try next.

MAGE STORM: No queries for now.
Wait out the latest request and a couple of recent queries. Consider alternate possibilities.

MAGIC AND POWER:
Get additional feedback on the first five chapters. Work on the query.

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE:
Start the next pass. Work on the cover art. Plan for a July launch.

DREAMER'S ROSE:
Pause, for now.

THE IGNORED PROPHECY:
Pause for now.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

I'm working on creating the first novel in a series of sci-fi stories revolving around two central characters as they journey through the local part of the galaxy. I guess I'm showing my age: I don't like the term speculative fiction. Anyway, for the last few weeks I've been working on the back-story for the story's milieu, and I'm still working on it. I can't develop the characters until I have the society they were brought up in worked out, which is, Earth invaded by aliens. Actually, they didn't succeed and there is now a stand-off between a devastated Earth and an alien fleet in orbit that can't leave until it re-supplies. What's taking me so long is trying to avoid all the cliches that surround any sci-fi story.

And it aint easy...

Phil
