As some of you may have noticed from earlier comments and an absence of a week or so, I've been on vacation.

During that time, by my count, I bought twenty books...and during that time, I read nine and a half of them.

I won't bore you with a list of titles (just yet), but most were non-fiction, and only one out-and-out science fiction. A couple were reprints of ones I've read before, and this includes the out-and-out SF book. Subjects range from baseball in the early 20th century...to essay collections...golf...the relationship between Britain and India...politics (lots of politics). Some are biographies, some are commentary, some are overviews of history, others focus in on one detail.

I plan to read most of the rest sometime, but my plans have done that in the past. I'll keep them around and see what I can get to.
