I was re-reading some old topics and wandered into a post that I found amazingly rude, offenseive, and ignorant. I scrolled up to see who the culprit was only to see the name "Zero" glaring back at me.

This is one of those moments that, in fiction, we would call it "awakening."

And I have come to realize that I haven't always been the nicest guy around here. I've started and perpetuated arguments that were off-topic, I've said some rude, demeaning things, and I have always been a sort of rogue.

So, I wanted to apologize to anyone and everyone I have offended over the years. I really don't mean it, I promise

And yes this is off topic and probably ought to be in "Gist for the Mill" but I posted it here because I want everyone to read it, and I'm not sure how much traffic that board gets--given that it's at the very, very bottom.

Thanks. You've all been a splendid community and I look forward to at least a few more years on the boards.

Don't get too good. We'd miss the old, abrasive (but truthful) Zero.

Are you sure there aren't two Zeroes?

Seriously, it takes something special to say what you've said. You might be Zero, but nothing you ain't.

I've seen your posts, good and bad.

I'm glad you've noticed where you were off base and perhaps not exactly constructive, but don't write off the times that you've offered helpful advice and contributed to good conversations.

I'm glad you're here.

Anthony

Hey, we're all passionate here--and that means tempers will flare and grudges will be held until we grow out of them. Besides...I'm the Antagonist on this show, and there ain't room for two.

Wow you just saw that. I hope that I was not to blame for a good part of the rudeness.

I admit I can become quite the belligerent fool that I have done in the past, (I blame the deployment and the delishness of my friends Jose Cuervo, Jack Daniel's, Captain Morgan and Crown Royal.)

Way to go in seeing the light. Everyone Needs a Light. Light, light, light, in the light (Repeat)

Mummmmm LED ZEPPELIN.

That calls for not 1 but 3 rounds of Jose Cuervo and I have been drinking some already, and the keys are becoming hard to find but that is what the sober “proof reader” next door is for

Thanks everyone. And JeanneT I doubt I can change too much, maybe I can be a little less sharp around the edges, but the opinionated free-thinking self that I am will never be changed - even if I tried.

But yeah, thanks everyone.

And Wolf we're on good terms now, remember that online beer I bought you?

I thought we weren't supposed to hold a "who can be the most obnoxious" contest...

If everyone is done patting everyone else on the back, there are threads out there that need trolling.
