I was out of commission for a couple of days---illness started Tuesday night, but I was able to function (minimally) up until Wednesday night. After that, I was down and out, had to skip out on a day of work, had the thing go through most of Thursday...then had a busy Friday and a catch-up Saturday morning.

I'd go into the disgusting details, but you never know how people will react to that sort of thing...

You know, Robert, I've always liked having you around Hatrack. There's a certain subtlety to you wit meshed with a hint of sass in many of your posts. I like it. So don't go away, okay?

Maybe we just share the same kind of humor, I don't know.

Well, I tend to get fed up rather abruptly...something rubs me the wrong way and I'm gone. (Happened in the last forum I hung out in in a major way---politics set it off---one reason I generally approve of the "no politics" directive here, though some of it can't help spilling out in my worldview.)

I wish I could get some more of that "sass," or whatever, into my regular writing...

Yeah, I think if you did it'd be really hooky, potentially. Whether it's a smart but sassy narrator, or just a frequently occurring character.
