With the recent topics over in Open Discussions regarding being a professional writer vs. a hobbyist, I thought this clip at The Onion was both fitting and amusing.

Then why isn't it in the Open Discussions about Writing area?

Want me to move it?

I don't know KD. The Onion is my favorite publication, which should give you an idea on how serious the publication is.

I took the time to look at some of their other graphs. This was one on how immigrants cross the border.

"Getting selves medically disassembled to appear as a carton of donated organs and then reanimated by mad scientist in Brownsville, TX"

I had a roommate in college from wisconsin who used to bring stacks of the onion newspaper (before the online news days) to me when he returned from home. Good stuff.

I like the "too busy teaching novel-writing class to finish novel" entry.

Odd that they chose to mention the Overlook Hotel instead of the Stanley Hotel. Snow doesn't matter as much at the Overlook.
