Okay,if you're emailing OSC, what on earth do you call him?!?! Mr. Card, OSC, Orson, Orson Card, Orson Scott Card? I dunno, and I just wrote him an email. Righty-o, now that I just completely embarrassed myself...

I noticed that a lot of people on the other forum call him "Scott". So I'm assuming to his friends he goes by Scott instead of "Orson"??

I really dunno. I tend to like to ask for information instead of finding it myself. Bad habit. I think that's why I have so many threads posted within a duration of five minutes - I have alot on my mind that I don't want to look for. Much easier to ask...but if we all did that, we'd be in a world of hurt. So, I'm fortunate for those who like to help...
That's funny stuff up there, really over-exaggerated, too, I promise.

I always prefer the civility of Mr. Smith. I mean, you are sending an unsolicited letter to a very busy man that you don't know. Mr. Smith (Or Mr. Card) seems like common courtesy. I suppose, if you develop some type of relationship (or actually meet him) and he asks you to call him Scott, that would be one thing. But until then, he's Mr. Card.

If so, then mine are in black in white, Kayla. I called him Mr. Card, so I'm glad. Sorry to say something so indubitable, but OSC is really cool!!

Most of the forumites call him OSC, or Card, but he goes by Scott. It's worth noting that his son Geoff calls him Card, although none of us know why.

Yes we do. You must not follow his posts like a groupie, Tom. He just told us, like, a week ago, or so.

I am so oblivious to most of the goings on right about now - blast my new membership to this site! I wish that I have been here longer. I know that sentence doesn't sound like it makes that much sense grammatically, but I know what it means.
