SPOILERS

When the Volemaki leave Harmony, the oldest children (Protchnu, primarily) are about eight or nine years old.

Zoom forward. When the Nafari are leaving the landing site, Elemak's kidnapped daughter is one of those that comes with them. She is a young woman; it says she was taken by the diggers twenty years ago. Which means, at this point, Protchnu should now be 29. However, he's still referred to as a boy and is written as though he were fifteen.

Mebbekew and Kokor should be in their mid-fifties; however, both still sleep around like crazy, as, presumably, does Sevet, and one would assume libido would eventually wane.

In Earthborn, Shedemei is told she's physically approximately forty years old, still pre-menopausal. When she was about sixty she got the cloak. The cloak heals and restores, but twenty years? It seems far-fetched.

It feels careless really, as though the twenty years of aging were subjective, applying only to a few characters. Anyone have an explanation?
