All the music majors have to perform an hour long recital on their particular instrument as a requirement for the degree. It's usually a pretty big deal and takes a lot of pain in the butt prep. Mine is finally here! I've been working really hard on it (as those of you on my LJ well know!) and I just wanted to let all of you know about it.
You're all invited should you be randomly passing through the Portland area on May 15th at 2:00pm. It's in the music building on the PSU campus. It's shaping up to be a great program. I'm kicking it off with a Baroque duet with my very own mother, and there will be a cello with me on another piece....and my pianist is dynamite.

Narnia, If you can get it taped, I can get it to a server so people can download it. (If you want them to)

Yeah, it's going to be recorded. I might take you up on the offer to host a snippet Elizabeth. That would be great, and then everyone can hear a little bit.

Thank you guys. I can't believe it's this weekend! I just got my very first pedicure ever to commemorate the occasion.

Narnia, We could put the whole thing on a server, and anyone with fast internet can download it.
Kwea and JW, Come to see my daughter's chorus! It is in Amherst.(May 22nd and 23rd) They are singing for the Amherst Ballet's version of "Hansel and Gretel." Last weekend, their theater group did "Fiddler." Ironic that OSC did it the same weekend. It was very good.

Narnia, how did I miss the fact that you're a singer? I never went far enough to have my very own recital, but one or two songs at a time was enough for me. Congratulations, good luck, and no matter what, love every minute of it.
