Silliness has many notable merits for human beings:
1. Stress reduction which leads to better health which leads to happier and more productive lives. 2. Activation of neurons previously dying of stultification which in turn energizes tired, overused and grumpy neurons to a more realistic perception of life. 3. Causes laughter which clears out the lungs and exercises the heart. 4. Requires the use of imagination in a free-floating form. 5. Breaks down needless barriers to interpersonal understanding.
