One is bound to give from being pulled into the middle of nasty family politics. For years I have aspired to be like Switzerland when it comes to dealing with problems between family members. Alas, I'm now being put on the hot seat. Any good vibes sent my way would be appreciated. I'm going to talk with a friend tonight who doesn't know my family to try and get an unbiased opinion. I'd post the trouble here, but I doubt anyone wants to read 7 pages of in-fighting.

What in the world could make you think that Hatrack isn't the place to post seven pages of infighting?

I'll say the head. You can get a better grip on it, and I think that the spine would segment (not break) more easily than the ankles.

Thanks to those who sent the good vibes. I feel better after getting some unbiased advice from a friend, but the whole situation is just sucky. One of my siblings has pretty much decided to no longer have a relationship with me. That's tough because I don't have parents, so a major part of my family is gone.
As they say, time heals all wounds. Which is cliched and not always true, but I'm going to assume your family isn't nearly as hellbound as mine happens to be.
