I just went over to Amazon.com and put in a pre-order for R.A. Salvatore's The Two Swords and then I realized I should have gone to Amazon through the link here on Hatrack instead, so they would get the "bump" from Amazon....

I still haven't figured out how to do that. I can click on amazon.com through this website, but once I try to click on some other item besides an OSC book, it doesn't look like it holds onto the fact that I got there through OSC's site. Does it keep a record of that? Or how can I make sure this site gets credit for the order?

I assumed all that matters is the click in the first place. Do you really have to buy something for it to work?

Most likely Amazon captures the fact that you came in via hatrack in some sort of came from database using referrer data from your browser. Or it could be a cookie, or a unique link. Or a combination thereof. [/tech-speak]
