This is the first time in a long time that I've been sucked into a book so much that I really really want to know what'll happen next and actually care about the characters.
I don't have TIME right now to be sucked into a book! It's just supposed to be for reading at night before I sleep!
I need to find out who recommended this book to me. *gets sword*

And the series isn't over yet. When you finally get done with what's out, you'll have to wait years with the rest of us to find out what happens next.

Then join my party for justice! *shakes fist*
I'm pretty sure Val and Xavier will look in here, I really hope they're keeping up with the lastest from Ctrl+Alt+Del *warning strong language on that link

Funny, I'm having that exact problem right now. And even though the handwriting is on the wall that everyone I've ever had any semblance of a fond feeling for is on their way to an early grave, I still can't put it down. A whole host of people recommended it to me simultaneously, so I'd have to go on a mass killing spree.
*narrows eyes* Don't think I won't!

We have been, mack! Phil does think it was either him or Tom that recommended A Song of Ice and Fire to you. It won't be long before you start looking for people to play you in the card game too.

I'd managed to put my need to find out what happens next out of my mind. Thanks, guys. I found out about the series from Hatrack, so I guess I'd have to take down the site to exact my revenge.

Mack, you might want to put a note in your title as to avoiding spoilers.
Don't expect to stop with the first book. You will be joining the rest of us in agonized waiting for A Feast for Crows soon.

I forget how I picked it up. It was probably from someone here, as I get a lot of my recommendations here. I doubt it was any of my current crop of roommates, and thinking back, it DEFINITELY wasn't any previous ones. I was definitely in college when I started... hmm...
I forget. But if it was you, thanks! And my first reading post-graduation will be to reread this. After I get my SoS back from my jerk-face fake-adopted brother in PA.

There is a piano player in Ithaca named Mike Stark. He is definitely my idea of what Ned looks lie.
So, what is that called, when you are a groupie based on a musician's likeness to a description in a fantasy novel? (He is also an amazing piano player, of course)
