I love when Harry Met Sally but never considered it a chick flick because I think it fairly represented the guy's point of view about relationships.
"Ah ha! So you are saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?"
"No, you pretty much want to nail them too."

Heh. That's the best sequence of the movie, Trevor.
"And this man was a..." "A bastard. A Eurotrash in Armani kind of guy." "Did he have a black suit, and a yellow shirt?" "You know him?! Of course you know him. All you bastards know each other."
quote:Hey Sax, I think you must have clicked through to another list, b/c those aren't on the chick list.
The titles I listed are (in the order I listed them) numbers 5, 57, 23, 73, 63, 85, 27, 29, 97, 45, and 34 in the list entitled "100 Memorable and Great 'Chick' Flicks (part 1, chronological)," which is what I got when I clicked on your link. Hmm... I've never heard of Love Affair until now. Would you like it nominated? The new one or the old one?

I'd like the new one nominated, it's an excellent movie to see with the whole family on a cold winter night...

OK, I've gotta leave for a few hours. Carry on, and I'll catch the list up to speed when I get back.

Well, not sure the wikipedia entry beren linked to bears that out, but what the hey. In any case, by the definition of 'a movie lots of women would want to see', I think it's not.

Sax, odd. I don't see Much Ado, Beautiful Girls, American President, Meet Joe Black, or Tomb Raider on that list at all.

I wonder how we could make a list of chick flicks that are palatable to us guys. I can't stomach most of them, but I actually enjoy some of them when bev convinces me to watch them.
For example, Return to Me was a very good movie, and was a chick flick.

Come on Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Powers Booth, Jennifer Grey, Lea Thompson . Women who don't take any crap, mostly proving that fact by killing tons of Russians. A movie both girls and guys can love.

The list is split into two pages; one through fifty are on the first, fifty-one through one hundred are on the second. Those ones are on the second page.
