Okay, the "Oregon clump" has a lot more - and folks from Washington State, as Jonny tried to point out. I submit the Oregon clump should be called the PacNW clump - or the "gloom and doom" states in deference to the general misty, rainy, grey winter that lasts for at least 15 out of every 12 months . . .
For some insight as to complete clumps, Pepek, check out foobonic pics of get-togethers . . .
(Gosh - we really are the last of the old west, aren't we . . . )
Does anyone remember the thread that had us pinpoint ourselves on the map? (add edit)

Even me? With my West Virginia "clump" of 2 (me and *unknown Jatraquero*). Which is, in itself, not really very exciting, considering the other WVa'er is way on the other side of the state. I guess I could technically be considered a satelite to the Indiana clump, or, if we've decided that there is a Kentucky clump, I'd be nearer that one.

Christy, ClaudiaTherese (Sara Sasse), Carrie, Primal Curve, Insanity Plea, and I are all in Wisconsin. In northern Illinois, you can add Vana, Lime, BannaOJ, Goody Scrivener, and xnera. Am I missing anybody?

seriously though, DC and central MidWest are doable in a weekend, but I don't think NE is. I've done drives like that before, but it's not fun twice in 2 or 3 days. But my point was that I don't think I really qualify for a clump, except maybe as a satellite institution.

This is not the thread I imagined upon reading the title. I envisioned some kind lawyers v. doctors v. computer tech feud, the docs chasing the lawyers, wielding the little knee-reflex hammers.....

You can add me to the Wisconsin list. Whereabouts are you in the state, ctm?
Wordman lives in Wisconsin, I think, if he's still around. Also if I remember correctly Severian is from here, but goes to school in Minnesota.

There were others, but I'm not sure what state they're in, and there are more Ohioans that didn't fess up and join the clump.

Considering you're an Jatragonian yourself, you should really brush up on the locals. Count me in.
(It's rained two weekends in the last two months; that's not constant wetness! -- Also, Shigosei might have the right idea for rain-avoidance. She lives in Oregon when it's not raining in Oregon, and Arizona when it is.)
I hope I can make it to a Hatrack gathering again sometime this year. I missed one or two in the spring.

NY for me. I don't think my parents will want me going to any hatrack functions though. I guess they have every right to be protective when it comes to internet aquaintances (sp?). As soon as I move out thoguh I'm all for meeting everyone.

While I appreciate being put in the "Florida clump", I only wish I still lived there so I could join the Gainesville get-together. Unfortunately, I live in Durham NC now.
Oh, and PapaMoose, to answer your question, I think Tammy also lives in Greensboro.

Jeni-- sorry not to reply more quickly. Currently, I live near South Wayne, which is about 15 miles west of Monroe, which is about 30 miles south of Madison.
