1. I read somewhere, and I can't remember where, that Narnia's not going. Someday, Hatrack, someday, I'll be able to meet the closest friend I don't have.
2. Need a roommate.

Ok, I'll be more direct this time. Does anyone know (*hints heavily* or perhaps a local could find out?) what the difference is between a room and a suite? Other than about $10?

Suites have two double beds and are larger rooms. Regular rooms have either one double or queen or two twin beds.

Ok, Shigosei and . . . um, was Narnia the other person? But she's not coming, right?
*collects thoughts* Shig, how do feel about getting a suite? For the (shared cost) of $10, that would be my preference.
And kat, there'd be room for a roll-away for you, if ya want it.
I think I will be reserving a room and buying a plane ticket next week, after I get my next paycheck. We want Friday and Saturday night -- what about Sunday night? I haven't totally decided if I'm leaving Sunday evening or Monday sometime . . . it kinda depends on when everyone else is taking off.

Yeah, a suite is fine. I'm about 90% sure I'm coming, so go ahead and book the room. If I can't come and you can't find a new roommate, I'll just pay my share anyway.

Ahhhh! Price changes! *frantically looks for cheaper options* Ok, found flights that work, for about the price I would've paid for the others a few weeks back (why those have gone up and these down -- on the same airline -- I do not know).
Purchasing NOW, before prices rise again.

Booked -- for a day too early! This is what happens when you look at too many flights just before and just after midnight!
Ok, they helped me on the phone, so now I'm traveling on the correct day -- but for the higher price. The cheap tickets were sold out for the right day. Ah, well.

I love Oregon! Those who haven't experienced our beautiful outdoors, our intense hay fever season, our lack of sales tax, and our full-service gas stations need to come for a visit.

You know, I never have been to Portland. Drove through Oregon a couple of times on the way to Seattle, but have never been to Portland. When could I go? *checks bank account*
*sigh* Oh look. Never. Well, never when you only look a few months ahead. Maybe I'll look for some training there so I can get work to send me. *cheers*

I'm coming, but can't decide whether to drive or fly. Therefore, I don't know how many nights to reserve the room for. I'll prolly need a roomie at any rate.
I should know the answers to these questions in the next week or two, and then I'll seriously look for a roommate and book a room.
Don't count this as an RSVP. Not until I've booked the room. (But I AM coming.)

According to the woman I booked our room with, she says there is little difference between the suite and the guest room. The suite is "longer" but not that much bigger. She said she liked the guest rooms much better, so we booked one of those.
Also, I think I'm going to call back and book Friday too.

How many nights should I book it for? And given what Val said, I think we'll stick with a guest room after all, neh?

Sure, whichever is fine. I'll probably have homework to do, but I don't have class on Monday. Are you willing to stick around for Sunday night as well?

The tickets I got have me leaving Sunday evening. I don't think I can change them at this point.

ok, that's fine. I'll leave Sunday afternoon then. Go ahead and book whichever type of room you like for Friday and Saturday night.

I still need to get a room -- anyone want a roomie? I'm a low-maintenance single guy (ick, that sounds like a personals ad)... um... I'd be happy with a rollaway bed...

I forget whether or not I've committed to rooming with anyone...but the more people in a room, the cheaper, neh?

Cheap is definitely good. But sleep = better, so whoever I room with, I'll need to get to bed at a relatively decent hour (midnight or so).

Well, you might be waking up as the rest of us are going to sleep. You could have the entire room to yourself.

I know I'm rooming with Banna, and she's much more organized than I am, so I'm going to frolic over here in the meadow, fully assured that it is all taken care of.

Oh, totally, AJ. But they only sent paper invites to people who's addresses they had... everyone else is invited, too, and might not have little cards. So they would e-mail.

Well, not only have I RSVPd but I also have put in for Vacation on Friday April 1st. So, if anyone (hint, hint KAT) is going to be flying or locomoting in some fashion into Chicago, to carpool the rest of the way with me, try to arrive Friday morning so we can begin driving in the early afternoon.
xnera? Vana and Lime? blacwolve? Hobbes? Steve isn't coming because he may be working overtime at that point and someone needs to keep an eye on the dogs.
