I was meaning to get out my first landmark (which was never archived) and it's not there. Also, I have my settings for 1 year of posts. before the freeze it was 207 pages. Now it is considerably less. 149, I think. I clicked on the last page and it went to May 11. Which wouldn't explain the landmark being gone.
I'm pretty sure I have the landmark on my other computer, but does anyone else notice anything missing?
"The events of Feb 4" "the post Feb 4 situation." 2-4 will no longer be the emmy award winning show, but the date of the Hatrack freeze.

You know, I know exactly what you mean. Just before the infamous "freeze", I had written out the most insightful, thought-provoking, well-written, and let's face it, awesome post of my entire Hatrack career. I pressed the post button, and it disappeared into the lonely reaches of cyberspace, never to be seen again.
And now I can't for the life of me remember what it said. (sighs) Oh well, them's the breaks...

Just a guess (as a system administrator where I work)... is that when the system froze, they probably had to do a purge and then re-load from backup.
Since backups are not always run daily (sometimes just weekly or whatever) they may not have had a backup with the most recent stuff. We may have lost a few days in there.
But I haven't had a chance to really see what is missing yet, so that is a random guess.

No, all the really recent posts were there. Also, we could view posts just fine and the other side could post.
I suspect a problem relating to handling of the primary key for the posts for this side of the forum, or similar.

That means that while the board was down, I received an e-mail telling me the threads I sent in on Sunday had been archived. I knew nothing of when or why the board went down or what maintenance was done. I'm pretty confident that archiving six threads isn't why they took the board down -- it's never been required for that before.
