So, we're at the library and my wife is next to me getting her information plugged into Hatrack. I'm not sure what her SN will be so, I'm just as much in suspense as you all are.
YAY! My hubby was here once a long time ago. Maybe I can make him come back. Let us know who she is so we can be super friendly to her.

Thank you all for the nice welcome. Narnia is right, I am MUCH COOLER.
I'm just a bad babysitter. The whole care bear catastrophe is my fault. I'm also the one responsible for almost getting our kitty taken away. If Scott was smart he wouldn't leave me home alone with the animals.

Welcome Jamie! My hubby got me involved to, kinda. You see, he was on "the other side" for awhile. I was aware of Hatrack for a long time, but was only interested insomuch as it gave info on OSC, one of my favorite authors.
When hatrack was buzzing like an angry wasp's nest, he got me interested enough to start lurking on the forum. It wasn't long after that that I began posting. Well, after getting involved myself, my hubby decided to "cross over" to this side. I have really enjoyed having both of us on here, it has been a cool thing for us to share.

Hi Jaimie! I not very good at taking care of pets either. For that matter, houseplants may as well make out their last will and testament when they enter my house.
What I can't figure out is why someone hasn't come-up with the the housepet version of silk-plants.
Those Furreal pets are close, but they need batteries. Next they'll want to be fed and walked!

I'm doing my best with Scott's care bear. I'm pretty good at repairs, plus I knew I had Betty to watch over my shoulder. Sewing is one of the few domestic things I actually do well, even though mac N cheese is the extent of my cooking skills. If I didn't have Steve to cook for me I'm sure I'd starve.
The bear repair is going in fits and spurts. This weekend part of my time has been spent at a Dog Obedience Trial, so the care bear is on hold. There were lots of awesome golden retrievers there that are so well trained that your jaw just drops. Yours is adorable, from the pictures. I may spray Bear with bitter apple before I send him back to discourage any more deconstructive exploits though. Tobasco or straight capsin oil if you can find it, also works well, though you can get the rare dog that likes the taste. I don't think we want orange on the bear though, so I'll just do bitter apple.
I told Betty about your cat, and she was sad too. She has four or five herself and three dogs.
Anyway if you and Scott ever want to come through Chicago, you have friends here who would be happy to met you in person!

Welcome Jamie! I've been trying to think of something funny to say involving the word "nebbish", but I think it must be too early for that sort of thing. You can come up with something and mentally insert it here:

Welcome, Jaimie. I don't think my spouse would ever hang out here. I suppose one might say it's been marked by my scent.
